Adopt a Family for the holidays
We are excited to announce that we’re bringing back DFL’s Holiday Adopt-a-Family program! This program identifies children and families we serve who could use some help granting their holiday wishes. Directions for Living’s Adopt-a-Family program helps families who are living housing unstable and having a hard time making ends meet, children and families who are working to overcome mental health or substance misuse issues, and parents who are living homeless who worry that their little ones may not have gifts to open this year.
This year, you have an opportunity to partner with Directions for Living to provide a happy holiday for children and families and we can’t thank you enough for your support in fulfilling holiday wishes to those in need of some extra love this year.

2025 Impact
Thanks to your incredible support, more than 560 children experienced the joy, magic, and warmth of the holidays this year. From carefully chosen wish list items to thoughtful surprises, you helped make sure children felt seen, celebrated, and remembered during a season that can be especially hard for families facing challenging circumstances.
